Terms of Service
Last updated: [DATE]
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Ripple swim-planning web app (“Ripple”, the “Service”), provided by [LEGAL_ENTITY], [ADDRESS]. By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. The Service
Ripple is a swimming training planner. It syncs your swim and wellness data from connected services, calculates training metrics, and generates structured training plans and workouts, including AI-generated suggestions. Ripple is a planning tool, not a coaching, medical, or health service.
2. Not medical or professional advice
Training plans, workouts, pace targets, race-time forecasts, and other outputs are estimates generated from your data and general training models. They may be inaccurate or unsuitable for you and are not medical, health, or professional coaching advice. Consult a qualified professional before starting or changing a training program. You are responsible for your own safety in and around water and you train at your own risk.
3. Eligibility and your account
You must be at least 16 years old to use Ripple. You agree to provide accurate information, keep your login credentials secure, and you are responsible for activity under your account.
4. Third-party integrations
Ripple lets you connect third-party services such as intervals.icu and Garmin Connect. Your use of those services is governed by their own terms and privacy policies. You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to connect those accounts and share their data with Ripple. We are not responsible for third-party services or for changes they make that affect Ripple.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to: misuse or disrupt the Service; attempt to access other users’ data; reverse engineer, scrape, or overload the Service; or use it for any unlawful purpose. We may rate-limit, suspend, or terminate access that violates these Terms or threatens the Service.
6. Your content and data
You retain ownership of the data you provide or sync. You grant us a limited licence to process and store that data solely to operate and provide the Service, as described in our Privacy Policy.
7. Availability
The Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features at any time and do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that data syncs or generated plans will always be accurate.
8. Liability
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for any other liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law. Subject to that, and to the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for loss of data, arising from your use of or inability to use the Service. The Service is currently provided free of charge; where any liability cannot be excluded but can be limited, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us for the Service, if any, in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim.
9. Termination
You may stop using Ripple and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you materially violate these Terms or if we discontinue the Service.
10. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms and will revise the “Last updated” date. We will give reasonable notice of material changes. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
11. Governing law and consumer rights
These Terms are governed by the laws of [JURISDICTION]. If you are a consumer resident in the EU, this choice of law does not deprive you of the protection of mandatory consumer-protection provisions of the law of your country of residence, and you may bring proceedings in the courts of that country.
